DR CHLOE MCKENZIE, PHD

Chloe combined her passions for strength and conditioning and netball to create Next Level Netball in 2016. Chloe has a strong research background in sports kinesiology and biomechanics which influences her programme design and coaching style, providing athletes with structured and sound training programmes.

Chloe has a range of experience across all levels of netball in New Zealand from youth to the elite level. She completed her PhD in 2019 (AUT) which evaluated the NetballSmart Dynamic Warm-up, focusing on the development of physical capabilities and reducing injury risk in youth netball players. Chloe has previously worked as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with High Performance Sport New Zealand and has been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Robinhood Stars ANZ Premiership team since 2017, as well as working with the Northern Comets.

As a coach, Chloe loves seeing the athletes she works with develop their physical capabilities as well as grow in confidence to reach their goals.

ANJA VAN GULDEN

Anja joined the Next Level Netball team in 2018 after completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise, with a focus on youth strength and conditioning, at AUT. Growing up in Auckland, Anja has always had a passion for sports, playing tennis and netball from a young age. Anja has previously been involved with the Football Ferns Development programme and the Athlete Development programme at the AUT Millennium. She is currently working with the Northern Comets Netball team furthering her experience in the athlete performance industry.

 

Through her studies, experience and passion for netball, Anja hopes to help Next Level Netball athletes develop in all aspects of their sport and achieve at the highest level.
